Welcome Michael “Bernie” Miller, M.D.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Miller to the OAG Team. He began practicing on September 18th at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. Dr. Miller received his bachelor of arts in Spanish from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He then attended Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA, to pursue medicine, ultimately receiving his doctor of medicine from the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Miller completed his internship and residency right here in Portland at the Oregon Health & Science University, where he also went on to complete a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia. Throughout his education, Dr. Miller has been a teacher, including teaching English (ESL) at UC Davis Extension and UC Santa Cruz Extension, and Spanish and English Language Development (ELD) at Lee Junior High School in Woodland, CA. He also taught middle school and high school in the Pajaro Valley School District in Watsonville, CA, was an Instructor at Cabrillo Community College for pre-health students, as well as teaching at OHSU where, through the global health program, he also provided anesthesia care to underserved patients in Khammam, India.
