Why Oregon?
OAG is based in Portland, Oregon, with practice locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. The state boasts a moderate climate, varied cultural, recreational and community activities, and a welcoming population who care deeply about preserving the beauty and resources of the Northwest.
Oregon’s four gentle seasons afford an ever-green Willamette Valley landscape with towering trees that adorn the foothills of the Pacific Coast Range and the Cascade Mountains. The dramatic Pacific coastline edges the region to the West.
Winters tend to be wet and cool with occasional snow accumulation (more at higher elevations). Spring is split between rain and sun. Summer, typically starting in early July, extends into October with lots of sunshine and 70-degree-days. Fall is classic (think yellow leaves, apples, pumpkins and pie). It really is a lovely state.
Notable Features
Oregon’s cities offer an appealing quality of life. Each offers an abundance of charming neighborhoods, outdoor recreation, boutique shopping, year-round farmer’s markets, a vast and renowned wine industry, micro-breweries, performing arts, professional sports (MLS: Timbers and NBA: Trail Blazers) and much more. Ski, snowboard, snowshoe or climb Mt. Hood — only 90 minutes east of Portland. Travel west and be at the beach in just over an hour. Prefer to hike? Head east to the Columbia River Gorge and enjoy some of the most breathtaking views in the world. Oregon also features plenty of marine activities on the beautiful Willamette, Columbia, McKenzie and Deschutes rivers.
