John Evans, M.D.
Dr. Evans received a bachelors degree in biology from Lewis & Clark College. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Evans completed an internship and an internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. Next, he completed anesthesia residency at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Evans joined OAG in 1993 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. He has served several leadership roles at OAG, including member of the Board of Directors from 2001-2005, OAG Vice-President in 2001, and OAG President from 2002-2005. Dr. Evans was elected to the Board of Directors again in 2018.
Outside of OAG, Dr. Evans serves on the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland, the Board of Directors of the Portland InterHospital Physicians Association (IPA), and the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Medical Association (OMA). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
