Marie Angele Theard, M.D.

Dr. Theard received her medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School in Peoria, Illinois. She completed her residency at the University of Illinois Chicago Humana Hospital before heading to Washington University School of Medicine where she completed a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia. She remained there teaching for a few years before heading to St. James Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. In 2002, she landed in Portland and joined OAG until departing for St. Louis in 2013. Dr. Theard was then Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, where she served as the Neuroanesthesia fellowship director and was on the Washington University Medical School Admissions Committee. She rejoined OAG in 2017 and served as Co-chair of Quality for the section of Anesthesiology at Legacy Emanuel Hospital. In 2018, she became OAG’s Clinical Quality Director.
