Dr. Evans received a bachelors degree in biology from Lewis & Clark College. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Evans completed an internship and an internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. Next, he completed anesthesia residency at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Evans joined OAG in 1993 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. He has served several leadership roles at OAG, including member of the Board of Directors from 2001-2005, OAG Vice-President in 2001, and OAG President from 2002-2005. Dr. Evans was elected to the Board of Directors again in 2018.
Outside of OAG, Dr. Evans serves on the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland, the Board of Directors of the Portland InterHospital Physicians Association (IPA), and the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Medical Association (OMA). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Dr. Volkov attended Oregon State University where he received his bachelor of science in chemistry, magna cum laude. He then earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he also received honors in the clinical rotations of pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatry. Dr. Volkov completed his preliminary year at Boise Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Boise, Idaho, before heading to Oregon Health and Science University where he finished his anesthesiology residency.
Dr. Volkov joined OAG in 2009 and currently works at Salem Hospital, Northbank Surgical Center, and River Road Surgery Center. At Salem Hospital.
In addition to his OR responsibilities, Dr. Volkov was named OAG’s ASC Medical Director in 2020.
