Biography

Dr. Bean has practiced at OAG since 2015. He received his undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He also completed a unique research and leadership internship at the NASA Academy. He then attended Stanford University, Stanford, CA, where he received his MS in biomechanical engineering with a concentration in medical device design. While attending Stanford, he worked as an Advanced Thermal Subsystem Engineer, a Hardware and Software Engineer, and Project Manager for the MIRA Atrial Retractor in Palo Alto, CA. During this time, he was also part of the Athletes Advisory Council for USA Triathlon as well as a Professional Athlete Representative on the USA Triathlon Board of Directors. He was also a Head Coach for the Stanford Triathlon Team and a Collegiate Triathlon Coaching Mentor at University of Wisconsin, and Duke University. Dr. Bean is Founder and Head Coach for Fast Forward Triathlon, LLC. He attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI, where he received his MD, and then on to the University of Washington where he completed his residency.
